Obsolescence

What is the time upto which a man thinks of himself to be worthy of respect?
When does he become obsolete to others?
When does he become obsolete to himself?

The story is at Obsolescence

~Aditya

P.S. Let the person who thought me, know that I learnt.

It is not because of retirement the feeling of disreptc comes. It would have been earlier there too. But Swami would not have expressed cos for want of time to take up an aurgument.
Culturilly too there is a change in the generation. He has seen himself and brothers and his mother accepting his fathers words as final ireespective of the advantage or disadvantage for self.
It is an anguish that he was not in a position to take independent decision that is coming out as cribbing. Heart of heart he may be happy aout his kids taking decisions
All said and done family is an organisation like any other organistation. There must be line of command, communication direction mentoring and decision making. The only difference is the controlling factore in a family is love affection, emotion and concern for each other. But in a corporate organisation, it is authority, enpowerment and self actualisation.
In the end the result is the one that matters. Happiness and sucess of all concerned in the family.
Bottomline, growth and progress in a corporate situation.
HOpe It is properly understood.

Quite vivid. Liked the post! Am not sure I wanna discuss about Swami's position. Should say am happy that your work doesn't come as a hindrance to writing; yet.

is obsolescence the right word. The exact meaning of the word seems to be not useful as of that day. Has lost its value. Is a retired person obsolete or antique
I dont understand.

Dad,
I guess that I hear what you say, but then I can really hear what you are not saying.
Understanding is gradual. Love and affection, eternal

@Lazy Lavender
From the looks of it, I have written more in the first week of work then I did in the entire 2 months that I was sitting at home. I think that this job may actually provide me with the stimulus, the drive I need to write!
